Last day of school yesterday for the boy. We needed to celebrate his successful completion of the 2nd grade, believe me we had some things to celebrate. It was rough going for a little while and I wasn’t always sure they were going to let him finish. It’s also extra super hot in VT. There’s only one thing to do — head to the reservoir after work.
We packed a picnic dinner and rode down to join the rest of Waterbury hanging out at the beach. So many friends were there that we stayed until nearly 9, riding bikes home at dusk while watching the lightning from a storm to the north.

As I look around the wreck that is currently representing my house, it’s obvious where I am not putting in my time. I have been doing everything and anything but staying home and cleaning up and doing laundry. I guess I’d rather have a messy house and an interesting life.
