It’s hard to see, but my bike is leaning against a tree on the top of a waterfall on ‘The Wall’ in Stowe.

Actual sunshine. In the open meadow on the far out loops in the Town Loops trails.
Another sunny moment, on Squirrel Land in the Town Loops.
My saturday ride with intervals didn’t happen because of the weather. I’m going to attempt to make it up on Monday morning before my dentist appointment. but no promises.
Tuesday morning I fly out for a whirlwind work trip where i’ll visit Lake Tahoe and the Columbia River Gorge in Oregon and return - all in the space of 3.5 days. Just looked at my ride schedule this week, and thank goodness it’s a recovery week. Perfect timing.

Just wanted to let you know that after all these years i finally got around to knitting my very own swiffer cover! I first saw your pattern on your old blog years ago and filed it under “to do” as i love that ballband pattern and thought your idea was just genious!! Having the latest MD book I decided it was time to knit my own. After i knit the pattern from their book, I remembered YOU and searched the MD book for a credit to you and your original pattern. I found nothing. So, what gives?
Thanks for the great pattern! I’ll post to my blog soon a photo.
Thank you for remembering me and my pattern. The thing with the MD book is a little weird. A few months before publication I received an email from Kay or Ann (can’t remember at the moment) asking me to contact them regarding the Swiffer Cozy. I emailed back and never heard anything back. When the book came out, I bought a copy and saw their pattern which was pretty similar to my own, but no mention of the one that I worked up years earlier and submitted all over blog-land. My pattern was already up on Ravelry and so forth, and I have to say that I was pretty bummed out to not even get a nod or anything.
The thing is, my pattern was totally inspired by their use of the ball-band dishcloth. I gave them recognition for this. The actual construction and design wasn’t anything particularly inspired, and there are several other swiffer cozy patterns out there. So I don’t know if they just figured it wasn’t worth it or what, I never pursued any answers.
But thanks for the comment and I can’t wait to see your photos!
