woke up this morning to a few inches of fresh snow. we haven’t had any new snow for a few weeks, so it was overdue but i have been enjoying the lack of fresh snow as far as riding bikes goes.

running partner
today i had a treat in my schedule - a run! after the kiddo climbed on board the bus, the dog and I took off for a little jog. this is only the second time he’s done any sort of running with me, he is just a puppy after all and i know it’s not recommended to run them hard when they’re young.
he’s still easily spooked, likely from all the time in the shelter. it’s not hard to deal with, but when the ground is icy and he’s spooked he pulls hard on that leash. i almost wished i wore a helmet this morning. we made it unscathed, despite inadvertently causing a car to do a 180 and our encounter with the mean dog up the street.
i’m also, like half of america, doing 100 pushups. i’m in week two now. it’s not that easy for me, but i can see progress and i like that.

I just ran our pup “long” for the first time today. She’s six months old this week, and has been coming out for a mile at the end or beginning of my runs for a month or two now - and has TONS of energy when she gets back. Today we did an easy three for my recovery run, and she has a BLAST. She’s a border collie, and NEEDS AN OUTLET in lieu of sheep.
