
workouts off track
it was an approaching collision that couldn’t seem to be avoided. first, I had a busy friday. Instead of getting to the gym first thing, I helped to escort a pickup truck worth of junk from our basement. Then, after a day full of meetings, I squeezed out early to take junior to have his hairs trimmed. and me. both of us were getting majorly shaggy. So Friday didn’t get done.
Saturday I woke up sick. and the boy woke up sick. so the two of us sat around all day being sick. a total waste of a sunny, lovely winter day. It was 35 degrees and would have been a wonderful time to get out and go for a spin. but no. walking to the mailbox was too much effort.
Sunday. I’m mostly better, the boy is still sick. George is helping some friends move the better part of the day and honestly i just couldn’t seem to get my arse on the trainer in the basement. so again, no bike workout. i did do pushups. but that’s it.
Now it’s Monday and I feel sluglike. But today marks the end of my slide. I’m going to do an hour long easy ride today to get back on track and tomorrow it’s back on the program. back on track.
just booked a place to stay in Durango. i feel much better now.
