I think I may have discovered a fantastic new diet for me – dental work. They had to do a little something to one of my poor little teethes yesterday, which involved making 98% of my mouth and tongue completely numb. The work itself took 10 minutes at the most, the numbness lasted for five hours. For the first time in recent memory I had no interest in food, it was awesome.
Not that I spend a lot of mind energy worrying about my weight. But I did put on a few over the winter and having expended all that time and energy getting rid of so many pounds last year, I’d like to be proactive and just not get so fat again.
In happier news than dental work. This got done.
It’s rumored to be lighter than my current Chris King wheels, and has some fancy-pants bladed spokes.
See the speed stripe? That’s fancy too.
This fancy skewer is rumored to help me to a better job securing my front wheel. I’m embarrassed to elude to the number of times I’ve been on the trail, accused my bike of handling poorly and found that my front skewer was improperly secured.
The hubs look swank. Though the color is ‘pewter’ they do look more like a steel blue color. Alas the rear wheel is not done. Some sort of hold-up having to do with wrong size spokes, hopefully the right size spokes will be in hand by next week and the other wheel can be built.
